Chris
Mi chiamo Chris, ho 18 anni e sono di Carinzia, Austria. However, I’m going to write in English because I see myself as a representative of the international crowd.
Everything started on April 28, 2001 when I was searching – like always – for extraordinary music in the filesharing-program Napster… yeah, it was still Napster. And suddenly I came into contact with a guy called Omar Pedrini, who said that he’d be the leader of an Italian band called ‘Timoria’.
I had never heard of that group until then. He recommended to me to download at first ‘Senza Vento’ or ‘Sole Spento’, because these two songs would represent Timoria’s music at most. I did it and thought: really not bad! Also I didn’t know at that time that Timoria would accompany me in future, any time. So we – Omar and me – continued to write messages to each other… and I downloaded and downloaded songs, liked it more and more. But, when Napster was closed not much time later, unfortunately also I lost contact to Omar.
But this didn’t stop my special relationship to the band – every time I went to Italy, I returned in Austria with some new, fresh Timoria-CDs. I always looked forward to go there, because Timoria’s CDs are only available in Italy, you know.
My enthusiasm for the group never stopped, and so, today, I’ve nearly got every CD at home, as well as the ‘libro fotografico’, the DVD and other accessoires. Furthermore, on July 27, 2002 me and a friend drove to Trieste just to see Timoria among the TIM-Tour… this also was the only concert of them I saw live.
TIMORIA for me doesn’t symbolize only music – it is much more, it is a certain feeling of life, a special and unique atmosphere. Since I know Timoria, they’ve always been my favorite band… and will always be. Even if they don’t exist officially anymore, if they don’t publish any new stuff under the name ‘Timoria’, I’ll always see them as still existing artists, united. It is everlasting.
And remember:
Se non sai volare è perché non credi di poterci riuscire…
I magichi Timoria: per sempre!
